The SportSOS.com online fundraiser platform - FREE to all partners in awareness.

April 20, 2007, Atlanta, GA --- SportSOS.com NEW internet based fundraiser platform is a win-win partnership. It allows sport clubs and teams to easily create a FREE one page fundraiser website where they can accept online donations on a secure site. While the non-profit youth sports partners receive 50% of the net proceeds, the other 50% goes towards another worthy cause.

Sport-SOS will promote all partner websites direct to campaign audiences (FREE PR to your organization!) Partners can e-mail their own campaign website address, add a link to their already existing websites, or print the website page as a handout seeking the support of their family, friends, and community.

The clubs and teams will be able to check the funds raised by their group in real time by logging into the new fundraiser platform. When clubs and teams are logged into the fundraiser platform they will also be provided with additional resources for their fundraising success.

March 2007 is the Annual Brain Injury Awareness Month across the USA.

January 7, 2007, Alpharetta, GA --- "Phone rings. It's from the hospital. The voice tells me that my child suffered TBI, Traumatic Brain Injury during her soccer practice. 'Can I talk to her, please?' The voice says ' I am very sorry, but she is in coma. Please come to the emergency room as soon as possible'. I am frightened. I can barely breathe. I arrive at the emergency room. Most questions I have go unanswered. I am told just 'wait and see'. I spent 6 days next to her hospital bed in the intensive care unit. My story has a happy ending. My daughter is a survivor. It is a miracle!

In less than a year from the accident, she is playing soccer again. Even though our case ends happily, many other cases do not. Head injury daunts the sports community. Awareness mean less tragedy. The best 'cure' is prevention.

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) - a Silent Epidemic in Youth Sports?
